My friend once told me that her foreigner guests were so amazed seeing a man climbing a coconut tree without any additional climbing devices. One of them even shouted happily saying, "Wow!" And when the man who climbed the tree brought them fresh coconut water, they asked him, "Where did you learn that skill? Weren't you scared? Do you mind taking a picture with us?"
Those guests came to Indonesia few times before. Still, seeing a man climbing coconut tree without adequate protectors, amazed them. While we, Indonesians, especially who lives in villages, has seen this act many times. By habits, we're no longer consider this such amazing act as a wonderfull one.
